Two for Thursday

It was opening night for the exhibition by the artists in the Graduate Liberal Studies Program in the Zilkha Gallery at Wesleyan University.  The show will only remain up until June 19th, so better go now.  Here are the exhibitors:

Celebrate West Hartford

The rain finally stopped and everyone came out to Celebrate West Hartford! to see the Art and other attractions in downtown West Hartford.  Here are a few of the participants:

Shows in Middletown & New Britain

While they were doing a salt firing out back, the Wesleyan Potters of Middletown hosted the opening of a show by member potters who have hand built objects on display.  Here are some of the honored artists:

Weekend Art Shows

Hartford Fine Art & Framing was host, on Saturday eve, to the Premier Fine Art Competition & Exhibition which is being presented in conjunction with the Wethersfield Academy for the Arts. A very nice show in a beautiful facility, the Art will remain until June 20th.  Here are some of the participants:

Friday Night Hilights

We began with the Wethersfield Art League's 53rd Annual Members Juried Art Show at Keeney Memorial Cultural Center.  Congrats to the participants.  The Art will be on display until the end of June.

Next we hopped I-91 to Windsor and the Rough Around the Edges Art Show in the warehouse at the end of Skitchewaug Street.  Organized by Sarah McKay, this show had a terrific range of styles and personalities, but was only for one night.  Next year's show is scheduled for the Windsor Art Center on July 14.

Silpe Gallery at the University of Hartford closed out their season with an exhibition called Focus on Process, showing the work of five printmaking artists.  There were demonstrations at the opening for the show that will hang until the end of the month.
