Art at The Loomis Chaffee School

Almost like getting lost in your neighborhood, Leila Daw offers a different look at the land we live in with her new show, better to travel than to arrive... in the Mercy Gallery at the Richmond Art Center of The Loomis Chaffee School.  The exhibit remains through June 11.

Outside the Mercy Gallery was an exhibition by the school Seniors.  Here are a few of the participants:

Laura Inglehart
Donnie Colliins
Maxine Lammers
Finally, I discovered a small exhibit of Evelyn Beatrice Longman Batchelder.  Wonderful sculptress, student and colleague of Daniel Chester French, and wife of the headmaster at The Loomis Chaffee School.  Her monumental work is everywhere from Washington's Lincoln Memorial to Bushnell Park.
